song qian, better known as victoria song, was born february 2, 1987, in qingdao, china. she left home at a young age to study chinese traditional dance at the beijing dance academy. top of her class and an accomplished dancer, she was scouted at a dance event by sm entertainment in 2007. she signed on as a potential actress and model and made appearances in many commercials and music videos before properly debuting in 2009 as the main dancer and leader of f(x). as quickly as her career started she dove into television, known for her charms and humor, song became extremely popular with the public appearing on a sea of variety and dramas all while participating in her group. when f(x)'s group activities began to slow down, song was able to focus on her solo career and go back to china. her popularity began to skyrocket over the next few years. during this time she would participate in high-rated dramas, multiple movies, and many other shows. in 2018 she released her first solo single 'Roof On Fire', and in 2020, followed with a long-awaited, self-titled album, 'Victoria'. later in the year, officially ending her contract with SM ent., song claims she would now solely focus on acting. winning the 'golden eagle goddess award' soon after established her new belonging with top actors in china.
